You would likely answer positively to most of the points mentioned above, just like most people.The answer to most of the above and many other problems lies in the practice of ‘Mindfulness.’ Since discovering mindfulness, I no longer get stressed about the things that used to bother me perpetually. My journey towards ‘Mindfulness.’ As someone who works in management, I thought that my knowledge and experience would help me to overcome the obstacles listed above. However, I found myself getting more and more caught up in the day-to-day grind, and my stress levels began to reach dangerous levels.I turned to books and doctors for relief, but I kept getting pulled back into the cycle. This left me worrying about the past, present, and future, and I started to feel constantly tired and overwhelmed. All of this began to take a toll on my health. I had no respite and was on my way to early burnout. Through God&#8217;s grace and benevolence, I discovered a new practice (for me), ‘Mindfulness,’ that completely transformed my life. Over time, it helped me find solutions to most of my problems, leaving me happier, more productive, and with a positive outlook on life, free from stress.You might assume that achieving all of this required me to learn a great deal, seek professional help and counseling, and invest a lot of time and money. “Your assumption is partially correct!” My journey with ‘Mindfulness.’ I attained all of the above and more by investing just my time productively in the practice of mindfulness. &#8220;Mindfulness&#8221; is a powerful tool that can change the way we experience life. Though often overlooked, those who practice this ancient technique swear by its efficacy. Don&#8217;t miss out on its benefits &#8211; start your mindfulness journey today. I am a firm believer in this incredible practice, having been exposed to it in the past. After months of dedicated practice, I can confidently swear by its efficacy. Words cannot express how much this practice has transformed my life and that of my family for the better. As a proud parent, I was overjoyed to hear my daughter confidently use the word &#8216;mindfulness&#8217; during her online class the other day. It caught my attention, and I immediately stopped to listen further. I discovered that the school authorities had wisely included this essential subject in their curriculum, and it fills me with pride to know that my daughter is already getting exposed to ‘Mindfulness’ at such a young age. I firmly believe that instilling mindfulness practices at a young age will lead to a positive and fruitful future. I salute the school authorities for their wise decision. If only I had come across mindfulness earlier in life, I would have been able to attain happiness and personal growth much sooner. But as they say in India, the divine place where this fantastic art originated, ‘Der aaye durustha aaye,’ meaning that ‘You might have arrived late but good that you arrived.” By embracing this powerful technique, you, too, can confidently expect to achieve a more satisfying, blissful, and fulfilling existence for both yourself and your family. Given that this subject is being taught worldwide and its depth is being understood by many, we must strive to solve our problems, even if we are late to the party. &#8220;Begin your journey with mindfulness today.&#8221; If you are considering taking up mindfulness practice in your life, it is recommended that you commit to it for a while until you have experienced the benefits. If it works for you, great! If not, it&#8217;s okay to let it go, but that is very unlikely to happen. Mindfulness has the potential to address many of life&#8217;s challenges and could be a valuable tool for you, too. What exactly is mindfulness? I n simple terms, ‘Mindfulness’ is the ability of a person to be fully present in the now, aware of their immediate surroundings and what they are doing; a state where they are in control of their senses and body, not being reactive or overcome by the goings-on around. To achieve mindfulness, you must be fully present in the moment, paying close attention to your experiences through your senses and being aware of your thoughts and emotions. It&#8217;s important to note that you may have already experienced mindfulness without even realizing it, and it&#8217;s likely that it has helped you manage things more effectively. When you deliberately practice Mindfulness, you are- In a way, training your brain and reining it in, Leading to the restructuring of your brain. Making you aware of how our mental, emotional, and physical processes work internally. 									<p><span style="color: #000000;"><b>Simple Daily Mindfulness Practices: </b></span></p><p><span style="color: #000000;">I am sharing two mindfulness practices, one formal and one informal, that helped me ease into the practice and gain its benefits.</span></p><p><span style="color: #000000;">After practicing mindfulness, I learned to watch news debates objectively.</span></p><p><span style="color: #080808;">These mindfulness exercises can be practiced anywhere, at any time, to engage your senses, especially outdoors.</span></p><ol><li><b>Mindful Walking: </b></li></ol><p align="center"><span style="font-family: Arial, serif;"><u><b>Uncover the Profound Impact &amp; Benefits of a Serene and Mindful Morning Stroll On Your Wellbeing.</b></u></span></p><p>We all walk to gain health benefits but some do not, as getting off the couch is an uphill task for them.</p><p>A long time ago, I started consciously taking 10k or more steps daily. When I began to practice mindfulness, I still took the required steps but tweaked a couple of things. I changed my outlook toward the activity and became mindful of my senses during the movement.</p><ul><li><span style="color: #1c1c1c;">I counted my steps as I walked at a natural pace. I usually count up to ten steps, then start over from one when I reach the eleventh step.</span></li></ul><p>*** During lockdown, I switched to indoor walking but kept the same routine. I focused on my foot and body movements.</p><ul><li>After a couple of days, while walking, I synchronized my steps with my breathing. Inhaling for a few steps, holding my breath, and exhaling for a longer duration helped clear my lungs. Please do this under medical guidance, in a safe environment, and sustainably. Don’t push yourself; you can avoid this step if you want.</li></ul><ul><li>During my walks, I found my mind wandering off to the surrounding environment. However, I consciously and gently guided my mind back to the sensation of walking repeatedly until it became a habit for me to be mindful while walking.</li></ul><ul><li>One caution, though, when walking outside, stay alert to your environment and any potential risks to ensure your safety.</li></ul><ul><li>Next, I focus on the sounds around me without getting caught up in their origin, attribution, or my thoughts about them.</li></ul><ul><li><span style="color: #000000;">Later, I stoke my sense of smell and start to take in the scents around me objectively without feeling anything but focusing on the sense of smell.</span></li></ul><ul><li><span style="color: #000000;">Now it’s time to stoke my sense of vision and notice the colors, objects, people, birds, etc., but get back to being mindful even if something catches my fancy or even when something needs addressing, like an impediment.</span></li></ul><ul><li><span style="color: #000000;">You can try alternating between the different variations until you reach the end of your walking session. Once you get to the end, focus your attention once again on the sensation of walking and be aware of your body movements with each step. Take a moment to rest and enjoy the present moment.</span></li></ul><p><span style="color: #000000;">This exercise helps me to prepare for the day ahead and gear up to continue practicing the art of Mindfulness until it is time to hit the sack. In bed, I continue practicing Mindfulness to get quality sleep.</span></p><ol start="2"><li><span style="color: #000000;"><b>Mindful Sleeping:</b></span></li></ol><p><span style="color: #000000;">One of the biggest problems that individuals face today is insomnia. </span></p><p><span style="color: #000000;">During lockdown, I missed my appointment with the Almighty by a whisker. I suffered niggles for a long time, some big and some small. (I am going to be blogging and writing a book on the incident and much more very soon. Stay tuned to read and hear about it here soon.)</span></p><p><span style="color: #000000;">One of them was that I started to suffer from insomnia and OSA, Obstructive Sleep Apnea. When I lay in bed, I would fret about my malaise, and my brain would go into overdrive.</span></p><p>During the time when I was struggling to fall asleep, a couple of things came to my rescue. One of them was practicing <i>&#8220;Mindful Sleeping.&#8221;</i></p><p>Now, it has become a part of my bedtime routine, and I&#8217;m able to fall asleep within a few minutes of my head hitting the pillow.</p>								</div>

Let&#8217;s go explore and have some fun! #LetsGo #AdventureTime #ExploringHealth My tryst with health: Ever since I can remember, health advertisements (those seductresses) have always struck me as strategically placed to entice people into buying products that promise to enhance their looks, bodies, attitudes, and social standing. These ads often boast about their supposedly phenomenal products and miraculous effects. Hallelujah! Some of these advertisements turn out well, while others do not, but achieving one&#8217;s goal is hardly guaranteed. I have been seduced by their glitz numerous times, only to be left out to dry from the very moment I started on the journey as some other school of thought debunked the efficacy of the health fad I had decided to follow. I searched high and low for comprehensive and appropriate guidance to understand health but to no avail. Despite investing significant funds, I found myself at a standstill. I&#8217;m confident that some of you can relate to my experience, as you may have encountered similar challenges. Holistic Health Journey: Embracing Clarity and Conquering Confusion #HealthEmpowerment #HolisticLiving After wandering in the woods for a long time and deep introspection, I concluded that holistic health couldn’t just be reliant on exercise and food, though they are vital. There must be some other add-ons required to attain that pink of health holistically. We will discuss this as we acquire more insight into the matter. My childhood days of the quest: When I was younger, I might have achieved good health if I had listened to my parents&#8217; wish for me to become a doctor. However, I wonder if pursuing that path would have truly benefitted me. I still have doubts. I vividly remember my childhood years when I used to battle frequent bouts of sickness. It seemed like every month, I would come down with an illness that would leave me bedridden for days. These episodes of sickness meant that I had to excuse myself from attending school, a place that I was not very enthusiastic about visiting in the first place. Despite the discomfort and challenges of being unwell, the only silver lining was getting a break from the rigors of school life. It had become a routine for the doctor to visit me at my residence, puncture me with injections, and fill my stomach with medicines. I felt quite violated at the end and dreaded the sight of the good man, even if I so much as passed him on the street. I didn’t want to set my eyes on one of his ilk all my life. The very presence of our family doctor, even in thought, would make my poor punctured behind squirm and throb in fear, and I found it difficult sometimes to keep the much-secured contents, till that time, of my stomach down. Therefore, my parents harassing me to become a doctor never literally went down well with me. I never treaded or rather ventured near the path to becoming a medical professional, though I mean no disrespect to the medical profession in any manner of speaking. The sacrifices they make to tend to the sick, at risk of their own health, are truly commendable, especially the behemoth work they rendered during the pandemic. But it still wasn’t and isn’t my cup of tea. Period! But despite everything, I still detest needles, and my aversion towards them persists to this day. Overcoming Needle Phobia: My Ongoing Health Journey #NoMoreInjections #HealthFreedom My adult days of the quest: As I reflect on my past, I recall that despite my initial aversion to visiting the family doctor, circumstances led to frequent appointments during my childhood. However, with time, I experienced a notable improvement in my health, and the frequency of these visits decreased from almost twice a month to just once every three months. Ironically, as I neared my thirties, I was employed at a senior level in the health education industry. I was exposed to a lot of health information found in alternative health practices, but I still didn’t take alternative methods seriously. I still adhered to modern medicine for the maladies that I suffered at the time. I was gaining weight due to my desk job, and to take care of that, I decided to work on my diet and exercise regime. But I adhered to only dietary changes and exercising and attained some level of health though not holistic health, as I still suffered from niggles, stress, unhappiness, etc. I had my bouts of good, healthy days in between, like the interval break in a movie. But once again, as I neared middle age, my visits to the doctor started to swing back to the old statistics, making my moods perpetually foul. The day-to-day struggles, too, weren’t helping at all. So, I decided to get as much information as ever on health before I took the plunge into any health regimen again. This time around, I wanted a holistic and near-permanent solution to my quest. 									<p>I vividly remember my childhood years when I used to battle frequent bouts of sickness. It seemed like every month, I would come down with an illness that would leave me bedridden for days. These episodes of sickness meant that I had to excuse myself from attending school, a place that I was not very enthusiastic about visiting in the first place. Despite the discomfort and challenges of being unwell, the only silver lining was getting a break from the rigors of school life.</p><p>It had become a routine for the doctor to visit me at my residence, puncture me with injections, and fill my stomach with medicines. I felt quite violated at the end and dreaded the sight of the good man, even if I so much as passed him on the street.</p><p>I didn’t want to set my eyes on one of his ilk all my life. The very presence of our family doctor, even in thought, would make my poor punctured behind squirm and throb in fear, and I found it difficult sometimes to keep the much-secured contents, till that time, of my stomach <i>down</i>. Therefore, my parents harassing me to become a doctor never literally <i>went down well with me</i>.</p><p>I never treaded or rather ventured near the path to becoming a medical professional, though I mean no disrespect to the medical profession in any manner of speaking. The sacrifices they make to tend to the sick, at risk of their own health, are truly commendable, especially the behemoth work they rendered during the pandemic. But it still wasn’t and isn’t my cup of tea. Period!</p><p>But despite everything, I still detest needles, and my aversion towards them persists to this day.</p>								</div>

									<p>I needed to get information on health that was palatable to my ordinary intellect, so I next took up reading articles in magazines, the internet, etc. There, too, though, I felt great to start with, but in the end, I was still not able to gain a clear perspective on complete holistic health.</p><p>Though they all agreed on a few common points, they were at loggerheads on others with each other on some others. Likewise, the sea of internet-based information made it very confusing and frustrating as well as impossible to sieve and analyze into a proper routine.</p><p>Maybe it was because I am of regular intellect, and it was difficult for me to comprehend (because I was looking at health holistically and not in bits and parts), or it could be because it spoke more about a particular malady rather than the whole being.</p>								</div>

My quest for genuine health began well before the COVID-19 pandemic. It was a sporadic effort, sometimes on and sometimes off. As I was professionally involved with a health education company, I wanted to take advantage of this opportunity to attain true health. Still, the daily work pressure and my laid-back ways posed many challenges. Also, for my health issues, I relied more on modern medicine and kept myself reliant totally on my doctors. I kept dilly-dallying on making a solid decision to acquire proper health. My forays into the same were more for the sake of it rather than any serious endeavor. It was only after I faced grave health issues that I seriously decided to take advantage of working in the alternative health industry and walk down the path of acquiring proper health. And I did… Ever since I can remember, like any commoner, I have been intrigued by and always wanted to equip myself with complete health and vitality. Back in the day, it was all about having a ripped, muscular body to impress the girls, like a peacock showing off in a rainstorm. But then the harshness of reality came crashing down, raining misery on that once beautiful dream. Honestly, I wanted to become health-personified, but it only remained in my reveries and never bore fruit. Also, despite suffering from low immunity for most of my life, my fascination with health information never waned. Though I lost sight of it in the hustle and bustle of life, I eventually rediscovered my passion. In my younger days, I gained better health through painstaking effort for a while after having been admitted to the hospital for a major health issue. During that time, I rigorously adhered to a diet and exercise regimen (I joined a gym) that provided some assistance, but it lacked a holistic approach. I appeared marginally better than the almost skeletal state the disease had reduced me to, but the improvement was minimal. Nevertheless, even a slight progress was unquestionably superior to no progress at all. I&#8217;m sorry to say that life retook precedence, pulling me into an unhealthy, stress-filled lifestyle.… The niggles troubled me over those years, but I didn’t give it much thought as, being young with somewhat better immunity, I had managed to get through them without much ado. It was at this time that I secured a senior position at a health education company, which once again sparked my old curiosity. Once again, I committed to prioritizing a healthy lifestyle focused on a balanced diet and regular exercise, as this was the path I was familiar with at the time. But after a year or so, I went back to my old ways due to new work pressures and responsibilities. I couldn’t find time to engage in a healthy routine—work took precedence. This continued for some years until… The human race was struck by the COVID-19 pandemic, which has had a profound impact on all aspects of our lives and society in these challenging times. Thus, it became increasingly important for me, as it is for every commoner to have access to accurate health information and knowledge. Unfortunately for me, I learned this the hard way as the pandemic took its toll on my health. I suffered a near-fatal health incident. Ironically, it wasn’t the coronavirus itself, but a grave mistake I committed that landed me in hot soup, and bland hot soup was preciously the central portion of my daily diet then as I nursed myself back to health. During the initial pandemic days, I took a painkiller pill (this particular pain killer, which was advertised all over as being a mild yet miracle pain killer, has been banned since, not on my accord though) as I was suffering from unbearable pain due to a grave overlook on my part and not due to Covid19. The stupidity on my part was that I took the pill, against better sense, on an empty stomach early one morning. I firmly oppose the use of allopathic medicine without a doctor&#8217;s prescription. I take pride in never making such an irresponsible mistake. However, on that particular day, I succumbed to this error for some unknown reason. Fate! To add more irony, at the time of the tragedy, allopathy was the last resort for me as I had already switched to alternative medicine. Anyway, after a little while, I started feeling weird and started throwing up bitter water like crazy. Then, other problems began piling up, and the pain just got worse. After having very little food, I made a second mistake by taking another dose of medication without considering the time elapsed since the previous one. I hadn&#8217;t experienced much relief from the first dose and acted without]]></description>

									<p>During the initial pandemic days, I took a painkiller pill (this particular pain killer, which was advertised all over as being a mild yet miracle pain killer, has been banned since, not on my accord though) as I was suffering from unbearable pain due to a grave overlook on my part and not due to Covid19.</p>
<p>The stupidity on my part was that I took the pill, against better sense, on an empty stomach early one morning.</p>
<p>I firmly oppose the use of allopathic medicine without a doctor&#8217;s prescription. I take pride in never making such an irresponsible mistake. However, on that particular day, I succumbed to this error for some unknown reason. Fate!</p>								</div>

									<p>To add more irony, at the time of the tragedy, allopathy was the last resort for me as I had already switched to alternative medicine.</p>
<p>Anyway, after a little while, I started feeling weird and started throwing up bitter water like crazy. Then, other problems began piling up, and the pain just got worse.</p>
<p>After having very little food, I made a second mistake by taking another dose of medication without considering the time elapsed since the previous one. I hadn&#8217;t experienced much relief from the first dose and acted without thinking. </p>								</div>

									<p>Unfortunately, this worsened my condition, and I ended up retching more and being very ill, nearly to the point of death.</p>
<p>The first three days were very tense as my doctor had given me only that much time to live with the assurance that if I strictly followed his lead, I had a 50% chance of surviving.</p>
<p>Miraculously, I did and lived to narrate everything, and shortly, I will be penning a book on it.</p>
<p>Amidst the pandemic, based on my experience with the health industry, I confidently strode forward on the path of optimal health, undeterred by minor and major setbacks. Moreover, this significant event opened the door to an entirely new way of life that I seized with determination.</p>
<p>I had to stay ultra vigilant during the pandemic, as my immunity levels were drastically low, and disaster could have happened if I hadn’t. 									<p><span style=""><span style="">I found myself slipping back into my old habits until Mother Nature gave me a gentle reminder that I wasn’t entirely in the clear as the niggles started to turn nasty. I kept discovering new niggles that I had never experienced before. It was pretty upsetting.</span></span></p>
<p><span style=""><span style="">I was left parring with my health problems again and was reminded that I had to revert to leading a healthy lifestyle again. </span></span></p>
<p><span style=""><span style="">But the idea that I would have to make significant changes to my lifestyle once again constantly bothered me and my easy-going nature. </span></span></p>
<p><span style=""><span style="">This would have also included–</span></span></p>

<p><span style=""><span style="">being more active and maintaining a regular schedule, among other things.</span></span></p>

<p><span style=""><span style="">But as widely thought, a healthy lifestyle doesn’t equate to bland food. Let me categorically state here that except for the first few days of the incident, when I had to have mild food (mostly soup) and fruits, I was exposed to a really excellent diet that, despite being simple and healthy for me, was exceptionally delicious. </span></span></p>
<p><span style=""><span style="">I will share the secrets to these later in my blogs and books.</span></span></p>
<p><span style=""><span style="">However, to experience optimal health benefits, I had to become more active and make changes in my daily life, which, though a bit difficult at the start, became a cakewalk in a few days as they once again became routine.</span></span></p>
<p><span style=""><span style="">But getting back to the earlier point, with my health deteriorating once again, I resolved to return to my health regime. This time, I was hellbent on regaining maximum vitality and sharing its efficacy with my readers via my blogs and books.</span></span></p>
